Ariel Saadat, AIA

Principal and Founder

Ariel Saadat is the founder and principal of Saadat Architects, a Los Angeles–based studio dedicated to timeless, site-responsive residential design. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ariel developed an early appreciation for the city’s layered architectural character, from historic Spanish homes and traditional neighborhoods to the evolving fabric of contemporary Southern California.

Ariel is a licensed architect in the State of California. He studied History and the History of Art and Architecture at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where his interest in architecture deepened through the study of classical design, proportion, and the enduring relationship between buildings and place. His work is shaped by a love for traditional architecture and a belief that good design should not simply follow trends, but should feel grounded, lasting, and meaningful over time.

He is a member of the ICAA Southern California Chapter and has studied under and been mentored by respected architects including Tim Barber, along with other well-renowned architects known for their work in traditional and historically informed design. Through these experiences, Ariel developed a design philosophy rooted in craft, restraint, proportion, and the honest use of materials.

At Saadat Architects, Ariel brings a thoughtful and personal approach to each project, creating homes that feel elegant, livable, and connected to their surroundings. His work reflects a commitment to architecture that honors tradition while responding to the needs of modern life.
