about saadat architects

Saadat Architects is a Los Angeles–based residential design studio dedicated to timeless, site-responsive architecture. Founded by Ariel Saadat, AIA, LEED GA, the studio works at the intersection of classical tradition and contemporary living — designing homes that are grounded in their context, enduring in their design, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.

The studio's approach is rooted in a belief that great residential architecture is neither fashionable nor arbitrary. It is the product of careful observation, rigorous proportion, and an honest use of materials. Saadat Architects draws on the enduring principles of vernacular and classical architecture — shaped by years of mentorship under architects including Tim Barber and Ben Ballentine — to create homes that belong to their place and stand apart from passing trends.

Los Angeles is both the studio's home and its primary subject. The city's layered histories, diverse cultures, and evolving neighborhoods offer a constant study in how design shapes daily life and the character of place. Every project begins with that context — the street, the site, the climate, the client — and builds outward from there.

Saadat Architects is a licensed California architecture practice and a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Southern California Chapter.
