THE PROJECT

A landmark residential transformation set on a 350,000 square foot estate in Los Angeles. Saadat Architects was commissioned to reimagine this property into a cohesive French Eclectic Traditional compound - blending classical architectural character with contemporary living standards.

The 10,000 sq ft main residence is undergoing a full remodel and 1,200 sq ft addition, executed across three carefully sequenced phases to navigate the property's non-conforming site restrictions under Los Angeles code. Each phase is designed to maintain continuity of form and material throughout the transformation.

Among the project's most striking architectural moments is a new all-glass stair tower attached to the main house - a bold contemporary gesture that contrasts and complements the estate's French Eclectic character. Equally defining is the new lap swimming pool and spa, positioned to capture unobstructed panoramic views stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Downtown Los Angeles skyline.

The broader estate program includes a detached 1,200 sq ft ADU with an attached garage and recreation room, as well as a 5,000 sq ft Accessory Living Quarters on the north end of the property - anchored by a signature glass atrium that frames the natural landscape.
