PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIFORNIA
THE PROJECT
A full ground-up rebuild rising from the aftermath of the Pacific Palisades fires. Saadat Architects was commissioned to design a new 4,300 sq ft residence that honors the spirit of the original site while delivering an elevated, purpose-built home for its owner. This project is more than architecture — it is an act of resilience, a commitment to rebuilding not just a home, but a life and a legacy on land that carries deep personal meaning.
The design language is rooted in Mid-Century Modern — clean lines, organic integration with the landscape, and an architecture that lets the site speak for itself. And the site speaks loudly. On a clear day, unobstructed views sweep from the Pacific Ocean all the way south to Palos Verdes, framing every primary living space with one of Los Angeles' most coveted panoramas.
Tailored to a client with a deep love for the water, the outdoor program is central to the design. A fully reimagined pool anchors the exterior, paired with an elegantly detailed outdoor shower — conceived not as utility, but as an architectural experience in its own right. Together they create a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle that blurs the line between the home and the California landscape it inhabits.
What was lost to fire is being rebuilt with intention, beauty, and permanence.
